corrupt files - zip files

i downloaded a zip file from a site. after downloading, i tried to open it. the message i got was that the file was bad or corrupt. this happens to all my zip files.

whats up w/ this & how can i fix this. it used to open zip's.

Try another winzip or Win RAR or whatever "unzipper" you use.

That seems to happen a lot with Zips, which is why I never zip files I usually use 7zip or WinRAR. But try a different program, if that doesn't work chances are you will have to re-download the zip.

Win RAR is good. But also heard good stuff about 7zip.

Yeah, I like 7zip a lot. Except that it doesn't work with ACE so I have WinRAR around for that. 7zip compresses quite well.

you mean all those you download from this particular site, or ALL of them? http://img.presence-pc.com/forum/im...xavontheweb.gif

If it's the latter, try creating a zip file then opening it. Chances are, it could be a hard drive issue..
