I am being plagued by pop ups, and cant seem to get rid of them at all( 3 have come up aleady since the start of the post)
Anyone know any good free software which will stop them
(4 now)
They also only seem to come up when internet explorer is off, as most they are blocked when internet explorer is on.
Its really annoying when i am playing CS:Source online, and i am about to shoot someone, and a popup comes up. ' HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE BENEFITS OF LIFE INSURANCE?'

Sounds like your browser has been HiJack by Spyware.
Download, update, and run these.
Ad-Aware
Spybot S&D
Once each one is done running, select everything in the list and click remove/fix/finish.
Then once that is done.
Download, extract to a folder on the desktop, and run this. (Download button is on left side)
HiJackThis
One ran, it should create a log file in the folder that it is in on the desktop. Copy and paste that log info into this topic so we can look at it.

boot into safe mode, run hijack this again.
Check off these entries.
O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} - "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: Applets - C:\WINDOWS\system32\dn4o01h3e.dll
Then click fix checked.
Once that is done, navagate to C:\Windows\System32 and delete the file dn4o01h3e.dll
You may have to enable view hidden and systen files under tools > folder options
