Hosting custom games on Warcraft III

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have added the port 6112 and I still can't get anyone to join a custom game. I am using a 2wire 1070-B Gateway modem provided by SBC and I have Windows XP. what else can I do to host these games.

I have opened up Ports 4000, 6112, 6113, 6114, 6115, 6116, and 6119. I did this by (windows XP) going to my control panel and clicking SECURITY CENTER. Then I clicked on the WINDOWS FIREWALL. There 3 tabs at the top; GENERAL, EXCEPTION, and ADVANCED. I click on the ADVANCED tab and I see DIAL UP CONNECTION and LOCAL AREA CONNECTION in the box. I double click LOCAL AREA CONNECTION and there is ADD, EDIT, DELETE at the bottom. I click ADD and a menu comes up to input information. I type in the description, My computer name/IP Address, TCP or UPC (bullet the TCP) and the Internal and External port number in which I input 6112 and 6112 or what ever port I am opening. I OK everything so it can save and then I restart the computer to make sure.

After opening all the ports, letting every port internal and external TCP what else do I have to do to host a game in Warcraft III. I am able to log into Battle.Net and play other peoples custom games, but when I create my own custom game It just sits there and nobody joins my game. Is there something blocking them from entering my game and if so how can I fix it??????

P.S. I even tryed it with my Windows based firewall disabled :-( still will not work.

PLEASE HELP RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THANK YOU.........

I'm suffering with the same problem... It's been almost 2 weeks now.... I've tried just about everything.... just yesterday I went out and bought a new router to hopefully resolve the issue... but no luck........

whats weird is that my cousin also has the same issue with his warcraft III and he's tried everything as well....... Now the only thing I know we have in common is we both have Mcafee 2005.... so I'm not sure if that could be a problem, but recently I was thinking about just uninstalling the program to see if it would work....

Also... I've read in couple posts that if you turn off Port Triggering in your router settings that for some reason it fixes the problem...... now the problem with me, is I cant even find an option to turn port triggering off..... but if you can.... .Kudos for you....

Can anyone out there help us out please?

I own an Lynksis Model: WRT54G

I think turning port triggering off means turning off your FIREWALL. That is easy.
