Avast Antivirus

Hi goranpaa, or anyone that can help.

I installed Avast Professional edition, I'm using it as a trial, the thing is I want to disable the way it reports virusses. I want it to automatically move/rename the file when a virus is found and not bother me. I don't even want to know a virus was found, this sounds like a weird thing, but I hate clicking on the dialogues, it doesn't actually matter if it does this automatically or manual, if it can't fix it, it's not going to.
I had a subscription to bitdefender 9 and I got sick of it, but the thing I liked about it, it never bothered me.

Could you please tell me how to do this, can this be done in Avast home free aswell?
I've got the setup files for avast free, I'm just playing around, so I can see the difference between the 2 versions.

I dont know if this is possible in the Pro version.? You have to look in the settings. But I looked in my Avast free, And I can't seem to find that possibility there. But the free version is limited compaired to the Pro version I guess. So sorry, I cant help you out there.

im shocked you even found one scanner that did that, im pretty sure you wont find another. a number will automatically remove or quarantine, but i dont know of one that wont tell you what it did. that would pretty much defeat the purpose of security software.

It does tell you what it did in the log file, but the user doesn't get bothered by screen popus and so forth everthing is done automatically like you say a number will automatically remove or quarantine

Thanks goranpaa, guess I'm going back to bitdefender!

You're welcome. And Bitdefender is a quite nice a.v. But you could also try a trial of Kaspersky. I cant guarantee it will have the option, you are looking for. But it is a good a.v. Very good at finding stuff in compressed files for ex.
