printer problem

my basic, older printer, canon s300 prints with lines on everything. the lines are very close together and ruin every thing that is printed. i have done everything in the maintentance section, clean nozzle, deep clean nozzle, and print head alignment to no avail. anyone have any ideas short of getting another printer. ruining all my kids homework papers.

Maybe the printerhead have kicked the bucket?
