Jedi Academy Multiplayer Trouble

My Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy Game keeps freezing for a few seconds and saying "connection interrupted" with a little symbol of a disconnected jack at the bottom right whenever I play any multiplayer game. I need help fixing this problem cuz i can only play for short intervals between interruptions, and that sucks.
