Help Me I Cant Host!

i used to be able to host when i had cable by turning off my firewall, but since my family is now cheap we switched to dsl. is there any way i can still host and have dsl? please tell me im REALLY desperate!

yes i have a wireless router and i know what port to change it to but i dont know how to change it!
