Hi,

Am a newbie and definitely not a computer expert, so please be gentle with me.

Have had our new computer and Windows XP for only a few weeks and everything
fine until recent problem with keyboard. Every time you press a key, you can
hear a funny noise in the "CPU".I have uninstalled and then re-installed the driver, but I can't figure out what the problem can be!! can anyone help?

I wanted to give as much info as possible - Many
thanks in advance.

Hi!

Is it like a ticking noise or such? You maybe have a key(s), that hangs slightly. On my previous old Logitech keybord, that happend from time to time in the end.

Othervice, try another USB port. And uppdate the chipset driver, wich affects all ports.

If you dont know what chipset you have?

Download, Everest Home: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html (Just click the link).

And look under "motherboard" + "chipset" and then "Northbridge chipset".

Then head over to the chipset manufacturers home for the driver.

P.s. Nforce chipset = Nvidia home.

Glad you got the keyboard back to normal.

Just remember, that the next time you reinstall Windows, you will have to reinstall / update the chipset driver again.

You're welcome.
