Hardware drivers HELP...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Uhmm, another question to anyone concerned.. After i reinstalled WinXP, the system couldnt work properly because graphics and audio hardware appear to have missing drivers.. i tried to open my PJ64, an emulator that opens and runs using Direct3D.. I wasnt able to open it because the computer doesnt have or isnt compatible w/ a Direct3D 6.0 and the DirectX might have a problem.. I installed DX9.0c last night but it was the same... Will i have to install another software driver for my graphics? Do i have to consider the model of my video/audio output device?... And another thing, after reinstalling WinXp, the PC said that it found a new VGA compatible Video Controller but i didnt alter the original hardware config... Damn!.. My PC still runs slow when i run 3 programs!(Real player, Explorer, and fax viewer It used to run more than 3 smoothly before i reinstalled WMplayer 10... I need some advise please.. I need info about installing or updating hardware drivers..

You need to get the drivers for all of your hardware from the manufacturers website.
If you have an ATI graphics card you would go to http://www.ati.com & download the correct driver for your card.
You need to find out what hardware that you have installed first.
If you don't know try Everest Home or Belarc Advisor:
Everest Home: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
I would get the drivers for your motherboards Chip set as well as all the other hardware that you have installed. I wouldn't use the standard Windows XP drivers unless you cannot get a driver from the manufacturers website or somewhere else like driversguide:
http://driversguide.com
