I need help in my hardware drivers.. Will i have to install or update the drivers of my video and audio outputs? And another one, can i install WinXP PRO sp2 and overwrite an existing WinXP PRO Build 2600?.. Will that also need new drivers? Will that remove the annoying WMPlayer10 Beta w/c cant be removed by uninstalling?

To remove Media player 10, have a look at this:

Do you want to do a repair install or a clean install? Clean install would be best, but you would need to backup all of your important data first, as the hard drive would need formatting.
It is always best to get the latest drivers for any hardware that you have installed, never trust the Microsoft default drivers.

I think i need to divide my HD into 2 then put all my GAMES,PICTURES,DOCUMENTS etc. onto one then all the system files onto the other... Is that possible? Then i will reformat the HD part completely so that i can install a WINXP sp2 and some drivers.. is that ok? And could you please give me an intro about drivers and an idea where to download trustworthy drivers? Thanks kestrel1...

I rolled back WMP a lot of times but its still version ten... I think the only way to remove it is to reformat so that EVERYTHING including updates will be removed.. then install a new OS(WINXP Pro sp2)... Approximately how many GBs will installing WINXP Pro sp2 occupy so that i can budget my hard disk space before "splitting" it?...

Hi!
The HDD Space required for SP2 is 1455mb.
Drivers, what videocard and soundcard do you have?
If you dont know?
Download Everest Home from here:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System...e-Edition.shtml
This software, will tell you all about your hardware.
If you are using the onboard sound and videochip?
Then it is your motherboard manufacturers home.
