USB And Freezing

I have a usb on the front of my case. It used to work just fine, but all of a sudden, when I plug in my iPod or my gamepad, Windows freezes. Why would this happen? Could something have gotten disconnected inside that could have caused this?

Have you updated the chipset driver lately? The chipset driver may also have gone corrupted.
Othervice, head over to Intel, and get one for the 915 chipset.

check and see if the rear ports are showing the same symptoms

Nope, it's only that one in the front. The rest work just fine.

either the port is going bad, or the connection is loose.
