I have a compaq 3 in 1 A1500 printer that I have been able to leep running for about 4 years. The most recent problem, I can not overcome. I continue to get an error message to "Install the right cartridge" I do this with old and new cartridges, go through the manual install from the printer and/or from the task manager on the computer and the printer does not recognize that it DOES in fact have a right cartridge installed. I believe that it must be in the contacts to the cartridge as the same cartridges will operate in another printer that takes this same cartridge. Anyone know of a way to override this error message???

clean the contacts with a ketone or isopropanol. unplug first, of course, and dont spill.
