What are the TOP 10 Computer Processors on the Market?????

Posted by: goranpaa

Not exactly top 10 by numbers. But by performance I would say the best are:

Dual Core CPU:s
-------------------
AMD FX 60 (Dual Core)
AMD X2
Intel Pentium D 950 Presler ( Dual Core)
Intel "D" series

Single core:
-------------

AMD FX 57
AMD FX 55
AMD 64 socket 939 and AMD Opteron
Intel Pentium 4.

But this is also depending on what you are going to use the CPU / rig for mainly?

If it comes to mostly gaming and graphics? AMD

If it is sound and video editing and mayor work? Intel.

If you want a really brag, speed monster rig for gaming? It could look like this:

Powersupply:

PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1KW EPS12V 1000W Power Supply 100 - 240V - Retail $469.99

Case: Thermaltake Tai-Chi VB5001SNA Black/ Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case with liquid cooling system - Retail $429.99 ( see pictures)

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 FX60 Toledo 1GHz HT 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor - Retail $1,035.00

Mobo: DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail $184.99

RAM: CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail $299.00

Videocard: eVGA 512-P2-N575-AX Geforce 7900GTX Superclocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail $599.00

HDD: Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM $349.99

Something to dream about sigh!

Intel is coming out with a quad core processor soon.

Also, Goranpaa, forget the geforce 7800, this baby is the latest and greatest:

Mouth watering!

Thanks gam3r!

I did'nt realize it already whas out.
That shows how fast the videocard race is.

I agree, SUPER drool!

And now I'm glad, I did'nt got another 7800GT.

But how will they make 2 of this monster to fit into an SLI system?

You also have the "smaller" cards in the series, 7600GT and 7900 GT, that seems to be very promising.

eVGA 256-P2-N553-AX Geforce 7600GT CO 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail $189.00

eVGA 256-P2-N563-AX Geforce 7900GT CO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail $299.00

I also include a rewiev of a 7600GT (XFX) as this is the card that will interest most people:

Man, video processing technology is getting more advanced by the day!

Some day we will have one of these:

I'd rather wait until they come to their senses and go back to designing single cards. I doubt that will happen, though, since it makes them 4x the money.

Four cards in the same case is just a cooling nightmare.

Posted by: gam3r

Well, as technology advances, cooling should become much better for computers. I just want to get 2 cards in sli. 4 is definatly overboard, but perhaps in the future, ya never know.
