booting to bacup dise_bachup in dos format

i can not boot to windows on c drive. I have a software that has created a compley copy of c drive in my d: drive. when in dos i can hit dir and it is listed there but i do not know the comand to boot to that partition. how do i boot to dise_backup using comand prompt.
It is normaly started threw windows when reinstalling the bachup but shuts down to dos when installing backup.
also the makers of dise_backup if i can find out who they are might be able to tell me the comands to get to it. Thanks for anyones help
