Damaged Hidden Folders?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

On my old computer, I had a hidden folder with all of my passwords in it. But I reformatted that computer a week ago. now when I go to show hidden folders, it shows the folder, but it gives me some sort of error and I can't unhide it.

If you re-formatted the hard drive you shouldn't be able to see any of the folders that were on it, hidden or not. Are you sure that you re-formatted the drive?

Oh, sorry. I installed XP Pro over XP Home.

What is the error that you are getting?

What is the adress (location) of the folder?

No idea. My dad wanted the old computer to himself and he had Pro in Chinese, so I didn't get ta chance to ask him.

It's in My Documents/Zip Files/fxaudio/files/

It will be hard to determine what the problem is if you don't know what the error message is, so it would be helpful if you could find out.

Have you tried gaining acces in safe mode. This probably wont help, but might be worth a try.
