Piece broken off in gamecube, discs can't spin

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

My Cube recentlly had one of the little plastic tabs that holds the disc in place break off, and it fell under the round part that spins the disc (where the disc clips into when you put it in). Now every time I try to play a game, the motor can't spin the disc because the little tab is in the way, so I can't play any of my discs. Any thoughts on how to pry this little tab out from under there so I can play my cube again? Thanks!

Tips? What kind of tips can we give you? It's like eating a bowl of cereal. There is no right way of doing it. Just go for it, because otherwise, you're spending another $100. (you can get used ones for like $80 though)

PS: If anyone tells me there is a right way to eat a bowl of cereal, I will digitally slap them.

Without actually being there it will be hard to help. The only idea I have is to add some glue to a toothpick and try to get the piece of plastic to stick to it, and once the glue is dry, pull it out.
