Ingame Videos Stutter

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hey again, I've currenty run into the problem, as the title suggests, of having every video played within a game stutter. It play's for about 1 second then pauses for 2 seconds and so on... Also Windows Media Player fails to play any video in Fullscreen and runs into a critical error whenever attempted. I've re-installed my video driver and WMP, but the problem still remains.

Once again, any advice will be greatly appreciated =)

Have you updated the videocard driver?

Enough RAM? And tested the RAM with Memtest (Each stick individually) for an hour.
Checked the Peak temperature on the videocard with NVtemplogger software? If not? Download the software, and set it to log the temps. Then try gaming, and check if the peak temp is very high afterwards.

If you have very high quality settings and resoloution? you may lower them, both in the drivers propertys and inside the games propertys.

EDIT:

What videocard do you got?
Amount of RAM?
Have you runned any antispyware lately?
Defragmented the harddrive lately?

Nvidia GeForce 6200 512MB
1GB DDR RAM

Updated videocard with Nvidia drivers, will do a spyware sweep and defrag hardrive to see if it works.

The card should work fine, and the amount of rAM too. As long as you dont overdo the quality settings and keep the resoloution to 1024 X 758 16bit.

Also try another driver. The latest driver, is'nt nessisairily the best.

This is a good one:

But uninstall your old driver, in Windows control panel, "add / remove programs" first before you install the new driver.

I'm having trouble installing the Omega drivers. The initial installation seems fine untill I restart my computer and there is no apparent video driver. I tried manually installing the driver, but that doesnt seem to work either. =(

Strange! It's not a thing that I usually recommend. But maybe you should try to reinstall the Nvidia driver first. And then the Omega on top of it? Cuz it is more critical, to install a modded driver on top of another modded driver. This as with the modded drivers, you dont know what the guys modding them have done.

It could be worth a try.

Nope, installing the omega driver over nvidia lead me to the same problem. Also, defragmenting my hardrives did not fix my videos stuttering in games =(

Did you lower the quality settings and resoloution?

Lowered everything to the basics and still no change. I also messed around in the BIOS, enabled AGP 8X, Fast Write Capability, nothing seems to work.
