Sbc Yahoo Dsl Install Help Plz

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
I received my 2wire 1070-B Gateway Modem few days ago, my line was provisioned for DSL 2 weeks ago I am in a verizon area so this has been over 2 months to get service can't install the installation CD, Local area connection shows I am getting 100mbs coming thru called SBC YAHOO tech support they say my install date is still 10 days away, nothing they can do, called back level 2 tech said if I knew how to configure it I could. I dont. I was given IP address dns etc but I have no new username or password so.. Is it possible to set it up thru a router instead or any other way or PPOE ? Please advise clueless here and sick of dial up. What is getting uncapped?
p.s. I do have an old sbcyahoo email acct that forwards to regular yahoo, but doubt that will helpundefinedundefined

You would need your new username & password before you would be able to connect to your DSL service. If they are saying it won't be ready for ten days, you may have to be patient.

The confusing part I left out was Tech Support said, "the line is done being provisioned and that it could be set up manually if I knew how" They tried to help by giving me IP and Subnet #'s etc but no other way to just use my internet explorer to be able to connect to the faster speed coming thru my Local Area Connection?
Impatient here LOL

No no luck tried following instructions without using CD got pretty far then realized I would need a router instead so we will see, or patience will have to set in I was able to set up my acct and password just unable to connect with Lan/ dsl speed. I am a novice at all this any feedback would be welcome. do you think I have to have router off top of your head? most write that I would.

it's sent to you as SBC's modem/ router they provision it and then drag their feet somehow I was able to set up my username n password but couldnt link the Lan speed to sbc yahoo and many write about using a different router all together. It worked via PPOE
