minimum sims 2 requirements

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I was just wondering what exactly were the minimum requirements for the sims2, and if an Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900 graphic card would work,
thank you, (hoping to get some help as soon as possible)

Look at the "Recommended requirements" instead. They are more accurate.

Recommended System Requirements
1.6 GHz Processor
512MB RAM
Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98
5GB (or more) HD Space
Any ATI Radeon 9000 series video card or any NVidia GeForce4 or GeForceFX Video Card.
DirectX 9.0 or better.

The minimum system requrements for this game is as usual, ridiculous. For ex. " videdeocard with 32mb memory"!? I would'nt wanna try to play such a game like SIMS 2 on a 32 mb video card. "Geforce 2 or 3 videocards or Radeon 7000 and 8000 series videocards"!? Those cards does'nt even have support for DirectX 9.0, that SIMS 2 requires.

To the guy who wrote those "minimum system requirements" HEY! wake up and smell the coffee!

But from what I have have been able to find out about your integrated video chip. It should be able to play SIMS2. Providing you have enough amount of RAM? At least 512mb running Windows XP. And dont overdue the quality settings for the video or have too high resoloution set in the videocard drivers propertys.

I wouldn't even want to check e-mail with 32 MB of video memory... Thats outrageous.
