what is 0x00000001??

when i try to install diablo 2 it gets halfway on d2sfx.mpq an error pops up and says:

Setup cannot read the required data field. Your Diablo ll CD may not be in CDROM drive. Please ensure that the Diablo ll disc is in the CDROM drive and press retry. To cancel the installation, click cancel.

Error 0x00000001: Incorrect function.

what does this error mean??? please help me!

It sounds to me like your cd is scratched

Try a cd lens cleaning disk
