I wonder if this will even make any sense. I have been playing Socom online for a long time and with a couple different friends, have successfully played for hours. My brother finally got his online adapter for PS2 and today we tried to play Socom 1. We both logged on and saw the same rooms and tried to join them. We were somehow logged into different rooms. They were complete with different players too. I cant imagine how this happened as we verified same Breifing Rooms and logged in and out a couple times. We could see eachothers names on the players list too. In fact, the only thing that didn't seem right was the number of people playing in the rooms. We showed slightly different numbers.
If there is anyone who has a theory on this I would love to hear it! I don't think that there is anything we overlooked but please feel free to bounce anything off of me.
couple facts:
both on cable internet
me router/him direct line
Thanks for reading and any help you can give!

Perhaps the rooms/servers can only accept a maximum players at once and one of the two gets placed in another server due to that. Just an idea.

Well actually on Socom online ittells you how many are in each room next to the total allowed. We made sure that there was sufficient room for both of us prior to joining. Beyond that we even made rooms. One each and could not see eachothers room. Yet we could still see one another on the active players list.
Thanks for trying...still in search if anyone else cares to take a crack at it!
Happy Holidays!
