how do i know what's my GFX card's model number ?
what is a model number ? is it the 5500 6200 (geforce).. 9200 9600.. (ati) ?

Right click on your desktop, select properties. Click on settings, click on advanced, click adapter. At "adapter type" it says your graphics card model, check chip type and memory size aswell. Post the results here, we'll tell you if it's any good

It should just say right in the settings tab on what display. So if you have a Geforce 6800 (example), it would say "[Monitor name] on GeForce 6800".
