UP Grading 2000 to XP pro!!!! ???

hey every one ..

well i just upgraded my windows 2000 to windows xp pro..
afterinstallation finish i whent to xpdeskstop but my keyboard and my mouse
didnt work.. and i restarted my computer and they still didnt work...?

can anyone help me : )

Make sure that they haven't been dislodged in the back of the machine.
Are they PS2 or USB?

If they're USB, try another USB port. Are they being detected in the device manager? Does it say they're working properly?

For that matter, did you use just a straight upgrade or did you reformat the drive and put a full edition of Windows XP on it? If the latter, there may be a bunch of additional drivers you need to install even though XP includes more than 2000.

lol what i did was wait for a couple of minutes, so the device manager could reconize it, then I used my ps2 keyboard to install the drivers lol.. its was kinda hard the first time. but good luck

well i deleted the partiion that was in the hardrive and yes i format it, and them i instilled
windows xp pro...
and shouldnt the drivers update automaticly...

Are they wireless? If so just check the batteries. It might be a coincidence that they have gone at the same time, but you never know.

Or if it is a wireless? Then press the "connect " button on the transmitter.
