Hey all,
I have a vaio notebook and both alt, blth control and both shift keys do not work.
Any help appreciated.

I'm assuming all the other keys work.
1. Did you do anything like spill a liquid on it that may have caused it?
2. Is the laptop still unde waranty?
If you answered no, then yes, take it back. Laptop keyboards cannot be replaced except by the manufacturer. Your other option is just to use a USB keyboard and the windows OSK (on-screen keyboard) when you travel.

Oddly enough, nothing has spilled on it, and yeah, every other key works just fine.

Try a can of pressureized air, holding the notebook upside down. Some dirt and dust may have blocked the keys.
