Hi!

I wonder if anyone here have got Nero 7?

I myself have Nero 6, and is quite pleased with it. But are considering getting the new one if there are any mayor improvements?

Suggestions please.

According to the setup for InCD 4, it isn't compatible with Windows XP X64 and it sends you to the Nero website in order to download a short term trial for Nero 7. I couldn't get the trial to work for more than 2 hours before it kept telling me my trial period had expired - even though the trial was supposed to be much longer. I never even got the chance to use InCD with XP X64 because even in those couple hours I couldn't figure out how to install it. So even though I didn't get to use Nero 7, I think this answer might give you some idea about whether it's an improvement or not. I hear that it is supposed to be compatible with Blu-Ray as well, but that's a story unto itself as far as trying to get hold of the technology...

Hi pd!

Well, I downloaded the trial, and it seems pretty nice . It's a bit more extensive than the Nero 6.

I liked the possibility to encode Audio CD's and DVD's for ex.
The full version seems to be big. But not as huge as Roxio 7. Wich I'm thankful for. As Roxio 7 contains a lot of other stuff, that is pretty useless. I prefer Roxio 6.

But I think I will wait, until Ahead release a Windows XP64 compatible version or an update for it.

Thanks for the ansver.

I have nero 7 and it's great. Ultra edition has tons of options!

I like the fact that it is Blu_ray ready for when it becomes easier to get Blu-Ray devices in the US. I use the DVD functions in Nero 6 mostly for backing up the my music folder. 10000 files take a long time to download, and I'm not even sure I have all the music I originally intended because one of my restorations failed about a month back. Like Goranpaa says, I'm going to wait too. Maybe I'll even wait until the full edition of Vista comes out. I've been concentrating mostly on hardware lately and it's time I got some more games now that I'm thinking of software.
