Dansguardian

hi,
My school uses an internet filtering program called "dansguradian" and they have blocked off all the good websites to go on while being at school!!
Does anyone know how to get passm this program and access any website!!!

Yeh, do it from home. I use web filtering software to stop kids accessing sites that are not suitable for them to view. You should respect the decision made by the IT department & stop trying to bypass the filtering. It is there for a reason.

OMG my has it as well, and it blocks totally unreasonable sites, nything like video's zip files and many other things it will block and then we must talk to the techies to download project's we have zipped etc...
I have some bypasses
1. if you go to http://proxyz.be you can type the site and it'll pass
2. Add https where applicable and it won't block it
3. Create a php download script at home and host it from a free php hosting site like http://ripway.com that you can put downloads addresses in the ?id= thingo and it will convert them into a .txt file
Iv'e also found at my school as we login over a network, if you pull the network cable out as soon as it logs in, you will login as an admin, not as a user and have access to everything, then you can plug the cable back in and have internet access bak!!! - very useful
Plz can nyone help more with disabling this annoying dansguardian and it's pointless blocks - thx
