Hi i have just received my new parts but not the video card. Arriving on friday. I am currently reading the stuff in the manual and there are 4 ways of updating the bios.
1. Award BIOS flash utility
2. Asus CrashFree BIOS 2
3. Asus EZ Flash updates in dos using floppy disk or support cd
4. Asus update from windows
What is the easiest way? Or some tips on what to do
Thanks

Use the Asus update / flash tool via Windows. It will look for the latest correct BIOS. And after it have downloaded the BIOS, it will ask if you wanna flash it? Then flash and reboot. Then go into BIOS and redo any BIOS settings you may have done.
Asus Crash free BIOS is a program, that will make a backup of your BIOS and load it if the orginal BIOS fails.
Those other 2 programs, you should stay away from, if you are'nt used to fiddle with BIOS installations manually.
The most convinient way is nr. 4 in your list.

Did'nt you get any with the mobo bundle or the case?
Or do you have any old case that you can nick some pegs from?
Otherwise a PC service shop should be able to sell you a bunch of pegs for a buck or 2.

Khmerxkid781, I believe I have the same bios update tool as you. As soon as you install windows and it's up and running, go to asus's site, locate your motherboard in the list, and download the bios file. Once you download it, if you haven't already, install all the utilities and programs that came with your mobo on a cd. One of the programs should be an bios updater. Open it, go to the drop box and select to do it from a file, browse for the file, and let it do it's thing. Easy as that.

Yepp, that is the program I whas talking about. And you wont have to go to the Asus site. That updater search for the latest BIOS and download it when it have found a new one.
Then just flash from that program.
Epox have a similar program, called "Magic BIOS".

I tried downloading the bios update through the program, but it kept giving me this server bussy error and what not. If you can get it to work through the program, power to ya!

Gam3r, I think you can try 3 different Asus sites from that program.
But sometimes they have a lot of traffic on those sites, so it can be hard to get thru.
