Sounds like dead Cpu?

Hi all, just doing a motherboard replacement and running into some issues, thought I might bounce the scenario off of you (Got to love these troubleshooting puzzles huh?)
Originally, system came in - fans spinning, no video signal to monitor or post beeps.
- Different PSU tested - no effect
- Different memory tested - no effect
- Different video card tested - no effect
- System BIOS reset - no effect
- All peripherals unplugged during this process.
System diagnosed bad motherboard or CPU. Now, it's been my experience that if a CPU is toast, it will not get hot? Not sure if this is the standard way to tell (aside from any obvious char marks) but being as it was getting hot, I opted to try a new motherboard.
So the board arrives and cpu/memory/psu moved over.
System still does not post - no beeps.
Sounds like cut and dry CPU fried right? Any other ideas?
Just in case you're wondering the board is a LGA775 Socket T Abit IG-80 chosen for the front panel firewire/audio/usb support and regular DDR400.
Manual isn't very thorough, but there are no suspicious jumpers.
Thanks for your second opinions in advance.

I think you could be right. Try another CPU if you can.

Working on it, I can't really pull the socket T cpu's from these new Dell's we are retailing. Waiting for my boss to let me pull apart his system in his office. lol - If that doesn't work than I have no clue what the problem is. I'll update the thread after I test.

Update: Cpu's dead. Rare, but it happens.

Thought you would find that it was the CPU, as you had tried everything else. At least you now know.
