technically this has to do with computers but not really.

i recently purchased a 97 bridgport torq-cut 22 machining center/mill

for those that do not know it is a machine typically used to cut metal with a computer control using g-code.

my delema is that it did not come with any documentation. yes it is g-code standard but without the programing manual i have no way of utilizing the features specific to that control.

so what i am looking for is a pdf version of the programming manualor any documentation or links to information to program this machine.

the control model is dx-32 and was used on more than just this machine so there are two ways of looking for the information, by the control model, or the machine model listed above.

so i know it is a stretch but i would be forever debted to anyone who may manage to find what i am looking for.

I'm still looking for a rowing machine myself. The only response I got from my inquiry on OTS was to look on a fitness forum instead. Maybe you'll get a link to a metal working site or just someone telling you to ask the quaetion on one. I have plenty of time to burn and just had my curiosity aroused by the title of your post. Perhaps I'll run a search on the web for it. In the meantime, have you tried looking for the manufacturer's website?

i spent quiet some time searching the web to no result, i think i posted here in hopes that one of the n many attending college courses might know someone in the manufacturing clases that have access to the manuals.

the manufacturer sold operations to another company ( hardinge ) and when that transaction took place customer service all but disapeared along with all the documentation. I was lucky enough however that i found someone with the information i needed in another forum and they kindly uploaded it to an ftp site for me.

bellisimo: i checked that link and although it is a great resource for manual machines i didnt see anything for the computer controlled machines. thanks for you help though guys...oh and after seeing the prices of some of thoese manuals maybe i should start making pdf files of all the other paperwork i have and go into business.
