I decided to try out the x64 edition (180) days trial from microsoft. I was wondering if anyone has ever used it with ati drivers? I wanted to see how one of my games would perform and I can't even set it to open gl. Everytime i open it up software mode is always on..Is there a solution? Everything seems to run very smoothly except my gaming. And when i tried using the drivers from ati.com i get this inf error.

Did you install a 64 bit chipset driver also?

Yes i did install the chipset driver from the asus cd. My computer looks like its missing open gl or something.

That chipset driver on the CD is'nt 64 bit. As you have Nforce4 chipset, Nvidia home is the best place if you want the latest chipset driver.
The 64 bit Nforce you should have is nForce 590 SLI, Version: 9.35 (for AMD).
Also try this Omega Catalyst .
Omegas Catalyst drivers often works very well.

Maybe even the latest Direct X9.0 update, that supports Windows 64 bit. Even if you have a 64 bit supported DirectX 9.0. It can't hurt to update it to the latest version.

Sorry, but the Omega is'nt 64 bit supported.
But go here and register for free. And then Download WarCat 6.5 for win64bit

Skip the Omega. (My error). As I said in my latest ansver, (Check out my ansver above) Download Warcat 6.5, 64 bit instead.
You're welcome. Hope the updates solves your problem.

setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software. I cannot install the drivers for some reason. I tried downloading the other drivers still same warning.

Probably. This is the nForce you should download:
nForce 590 SLI, Version: 9.35 (for AMD)

It's best to partition the hard drive in two and then set up Windows XP on the first one and then Windows XP X64 on the second anyway. Most software will still work with the 64 bit edition, but some of it won't no matter whether you have all the proper drivers for your hardware or not. Also, most older and budget printers have no drivers available for X64 so you need an OS that will work with the printer. I myself have a 300 gigabyte SATA drive with 270 gigabytes reserved for the primary partition and the remainder for the X64 partition. I did this knowing that much of the software could be run from the programs directory of the C drive even when booted to the D drive OS.
