Hi

I was searching the net to fix my flash audio problem when I stumbled onto a message boards with a guy posting the same problem. I began reading the answers he got and one of them said "I had the same problem w/ flash audio, and the solution is to open Applications/Utility/Midi audio and set it to 44100! Thank you very much!!!!!"

Now I wonder... where can I find this "Applications/Utility/Midi"?

I remember seeing it on my computer but now I can't remember.

Please help me, this may solve my long flash problem.

Thanks in advance

Can't you just do a search? In XP you just do Start>Search and seach for 'applicatons' 'utlity' or 'midi' and see what you find.

Search under what?

I know it's not a picture, music or video
I know it's not a document
I know it's not a file or folder
I know it's not a computer or a person

This is something that is like a button. For example "Bookmarks" in Firefox or "Device Manager".

But if you think I will find it through search then I will be happy to try.

Other then that, does anyone else have any ideas?

uhh... *mind is numbed* what kind of flash audio problems? I've noticed a lot of people have been running into problems without the latest flash player - try adobe.com and get the latest one.

-_-"...

I can see flash video but no sound can be heard. By this I mean anything that is flash related from the programmed Macromedia Flash to Flash movies on the net.

Yes, my volume is up
Yes, my speakers are on
Yes, I have the latest flash player
Yes, I checked my version on the site
Yes, the sites I visit that has flash "do" have sound
Yes, I checked the ActiveX controls and plug-ins in Internet Options/Security/Custom Levels
Yes, I checked the Multimedia in Internet Options/Advanced
Yes, I do have a good Sound Card because this problem happened on the same laptop that I used to hear flash sounds from

On the same laptop, I used to be able to hear flash sounds, one day, I can't. There must be something that changed in my laptop that I need to change back. Which is why I need to find this Applications/Utility/Midi part. I checked control panel inside anything that had to do with sound but to no avail.

Sorry if I sound angry and such but this problem is really irritating me since I have an assignment to create a music video in Flash.

I think most flash type sounds are actually .wav - You'll notice if you double click the speaker icon next to the time that you can also adjust .wav volume...

Yeah, I already tried turning up all the volume types there, including wave, and still nothing.

I find that whenever I have a problem like that, uninstalling and reinstalling is your friend.

Posted by: jhawks

Yeah, that is my friend as well, but I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling for more then 5 times, each time trying somethin new before uninstalling/reinstalling.

did you check control panel/hardware/device manager to see if all your hardware is enabled and installed correctly? Did you get the latest drivers from the manufacturer of your laptop's sound card? Have you gone to add/remove programs and removed flash player, then went to adobe to get the newest one?
