Movies with no picture?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

After using my camera to take movies and uploading them onto my computer and play them, there is no picture coming out! There's only sound.

I used another camera, and it's the same thing. The movie's extention is .MOV but it says it's a "Quicktime movie". I tried to play it on my TV too, and they're invalid movies so, what's happening?

Thanks.

Have you tried opening them in Media Player?
It could be that you haven't got the correct codec installed on your system.
Try the Klit Mega Codec pack. You can download it here:http://www.softpedia.com/progDownlo...load-15909.html

Something else you can try is Video Lan Player or VLC. I have not found anything that this program will not play. But I would also do the Klit Mega Codec pack just so you don't have this problem anymore.

I would roll back the driver on your video card or at least update it. I had the same issue a while back with an ATI video card. Windows will tell you if you don't have drivers to revert to. Videos store on the HDD wouldn't play either. Only sound. Try it.

vlc, media player classic, realplayer alt, and, if you absoloutely must have a codec pack, CCCP.

messing around with video card drivers is one of the last things you want to do, and a mega codec pack is completely uncessecary due to vlc.

Okay, it's working. The videos convereted themselves to quicktime for some reason.

Thanks.
