Why do I have to provide password to access IE?

Somehow I all of a sudden have to provide an administrator's password to access Internet Explorer. I had originally set this to not require this; however, now I cannot find where to make this change to avoid the password. Can anyone tell me how to do this on Windows XP?

Thanks,

Are you set as an administrater? If not, go to start>run> type "user controlpasswords2" and make sure it says administrator next to your username. That's all I can suggest. Perhaps someone else has another idea?

When I type in "user controlpasswords2" I get a box telling me "Windows cannot find "user controlpasswords2, be sure you have typed correctly...............

What now?
