hi ive been using a netgear wg511 wireless pc card on my windows xp sp 2 system and it has been working fine until recently when i decided to switch user while still connected to the network. When i logged into the other account my laptop came up with this message
"the supplicant support has not been installed correctly. you need to run setup again to fix this problem. if instead you need to continue, 802.1x and wpa will be disabled. (1)"
Im not sure if the account switching would have anything to do with this but ive reinstalled the software and wireless oc card drivers and still doesnt work, the message doesnt come up anymore but when i enter the password in to connect to my network the status is freezing on "aquiring network address" . It woudl be grateful if anyone could help me with this
thx

Check your firewall settings.
Turn off the firewall first & try connecting again. If it then works you need to reconfigure your firewall.
Give the card a static IP address & allow this to connect via your firewall.
