Start-up menu question..

If I remove items such as my anti-virus program from the start-up menu will they still run in the background?
In other words do they work if they're not in the systray?

typing msconfig in the run box and disabling items that start up with windows might be the easiest thing for you to do...

whats in the tray doesnt have anything to do with whats running. if you remove something from start up, its not going to be running unless you start it manually.
