NT Kernel..

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

This morning a message keeps popping up on my screen that says:

"An application named NT Kernel & System (file name ntoskrnl.exe) has been blocked from accessing the network"

It's coming from my Sygate personal firewall. Can somebody please tell me what it means? I don't want my firewall blocking stuff that needs to access the network in order to keep my computer running properly.

Thanks in advance,

you may want to switch firewalls since sygate no longer provides updates i believe, so you may be at risk from newer threats

Thanks rapidgecko,

I didn't know that. I've loaded up ZoneAlarm. I appreciate the tip.

Sygate free is no longer availiable. Since Symantec (Norton) bought Sygate.

Thanks goranpaa,

I switched to Zone Alarm today. Although, my Sygate free version seemed to be working but I don't understand the NT Kernel message.
