"not asus motherboard"

i was trying to update my chipset today as well as my bios and the utility for asus does not recognize the board.
this is the asus update control panel which has not worked since i got it ,
i tried to update it with a newer version but it does not recoginize the mobo.
anyone else ever have this problem?
any ideas on how to fix the mobo is still under its 3 yr warranty, maybe send it back?
