i want to buy the F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point, thats coming out this month, but i want to know if anyone would know what type of graphic card i will need and how much ram? Thank you

Well, judging from F.E.A.R, You better get at least one of the following cards:
X850XT (PE)
X1800GTO (Preferably HIS ICEQ, as you can, if you wanna take the chanse? Bios mod it to a X1800XT (I.e unlock the extra pixel pipes). HIS is the brand that have the largest sucess rate with bios mod).
X850 pro
X800XT
X800XL
X800GTO
6800GS
7600GT
And you should aim for 2 gig of RAM. I had 1 gig when I first bought F.E.A.R. But even with a overclocked X850Pro it lagged just a liiitle bit, til I got another gig of RAM.
Also you may wanna get a videocard that supports HDR. As "Extraction point" supports HDR lighting.
6800GS and 7600GT + X1800GTO supports HDR.
It will add some nice ligthing and shadow effects.

the 7600gt

That depends on what you are looking for.
Speed vice the 7600GT is a bit faster yes. And it's a bit newer card than the 6800GS. But the slight drawback is that the memory is 256mb - 128bit. But none the less a great card for it's price. And it probably will be "the last mohican", when it comes to new agp cards with good gaming abilitys.
The 6800GS will have a marginal win, when you are playing a game like Far Cry, F.E.A.R. and Oblivion for ex. Where large texture rendering is involved. (I suspect, that the GS is slightly better at handling HDR strain also. But not confirmed though).
This, as the GS is 256mb - 256 bit memory.
So the choise is depending on, if you value some FPS more, over texture rendering ability or vice versa?

well i will get a 6800OC, b/c i dont need a really good graphic card untill vista comes out. thank you

Well, with 6800GS, you get a really good card. The 6800GS sits between 6800GT and 6800 Ultra, wich still is an exspensive card. So performance vice there's nothing to complain about.
You're welcome

Hmm I would go for the X850 Pro and OC it and unlock 4 extra pipelines. Then it will be an X850XT PE.
