For days I've been thinking of a creative way to post this. At first I was gonna buy the magazineand throw some white colored shampoo on it and post the picture and say I wasa little too excited but whatever.

So I'm sitting at Chicago O'Hare International Airport as a part of my layover from my flight back to Boston (from interviews in Seattle). The airplane's here, but apparently the weather's so shitty in Boston right now that they've delayed the flight for 2+ hours, and even that is just a tentative time.
And I paid $8 for choppy wireless that fades in and out.

Ugh so I just got back home. Weirdest trip ever, that's all I got to say.
Our flight touched down at Logan Airport at about 1:05AM, and it was chaotic outside - the line for taxis was huge. But as I got into line, a cab with 2 passengers already in it pulls over and starts asking people in llne where they were going, or if anyone was going anywhere near South Boston. One dude spoke up and said he was going there, so the cab driver tells him to get on. I was wearing my '06 hoodie, which he notices, and asks me, "Are you going to MIT?" And as I nodded, he started pulling my bag from me and putting it in the trunk, and I thought to myself, "Maybe he's just being nice and taking as much people as he could to help thin the line."
But then I noticed that we weren't on the meter throughout the entire trip. After he drops off all the passengers (and I notice he took money from all of them as well), he takes me back to campus, and about 20 minutes and 10 red light violations later, we arrive in front of my dorm. He tells me it's going to cost me $45 plus tip, since he had to "go through so much trouble". A normal trip from the airport to my dorm actually only costs $30 and sometimes $35, even taking tip into account (not to mention the fact that it would have been a direct trip from the airport rather than having to wait for him to drop two other people off). But I was tired from over 15 hours of travel (for a trip that really should only take 7 hours), and since this cab ride was going to be expensed anyway, I just let him have it. Not to mention the fact that he was probably 1.7-1.8x my weight... So I just let him have it and asked for a receipt (and all Boston cab drivers just give you a blank receipt), and went home, 3 hours later than I had planned.
And to top it off, I noticed towards the end of the ride the little sign that was stuck on the window next to me:
"This vehicle may be stopped and visually inspected by the Boston Police at any time to ensure driver's safety."
As I opened the door into my room and entered, it occurred to me that I would probably have not let it slide so easily - in fact, I probably would have been pissed - if I was actually stuck in that situation under different circumstances... i.e. if I had to actually pay that $50 without being able to expense it.

I think ZOE2 is sitting at front desk downstairs. Maybe I'll get around to playing it before the third one comes out.
Sidenote: except for the ridiculous load times, XMen Legends is a fun 4-player party game.

I was in a pawn shop in Skokie, Il. and I happened to be perusing their games and I saw zone of the enders and I was like "hey, that's the game altron's always fagging up the channel about. I should buy it."
Unfortunately for you they also had Dark Cloud, which I got right into as soon as I got back to my hotel and forgot all about zoe except when you bring it up and I remember that I actually have it and intend to someday before I pass beyond this earth to get around to actually playing it.

I played a quick game of ZOE1 last night and beat it in exactly 45 minutes, 6 seconds.
This is a also considering that I know the exact process to beating the game as quickly as possible, skipping everything and every fight not necessary to beat the game.
It's funny cause took me hours and hours to beat it the first time. I kinda want to play ZOE2 now but there's a bunch of things in that game that are random that can slow down the run time. But first I want to play CaveStory and see if I can beat it in under 2 hours.

I just finished it and now I have a desire to play another old LucasArts game. Perhaps X-Wing or TIE Fighter. If only I knew where my joystick was. It would be pretty damn cool if someone made a new Star Wars space sim like those two.
