Removing heatsink, cpu and putting it back

Here is my question. I was wonder if it is okay if im removing the heatsink while the thermal paste is still applied underneath. Then take out the cpu and assemble it back together (did this before with my oem compaq). Later on i plan on buying a new mobo maybe a epox one to replace this a8n sli mobo.

Yeah, But it's not recommendable really.

A tip, is to run the PC for while first before you try to remove the heatsink. It will soften the paste a bit.

Othervice, you risk the cpu will be "glued" to the heatsink when you try to remove it.

this has happened before with my old comp. I grabbed a knife and popped it off. That was kind of risky since i dropped the chip and 2 pins bent.
