It's a nice rig. I know this may sound strange. But be aware of that the Dreamer case have one danger, thanks to the material in the front and the power switch. It is easily charged with static electrisity. Several customers have fried stuff inside the case when pushing the button, because of this. Place the case on some rubber to prevent this from happening. Also some customers have had the LEDs gone pretty fast.

A few customers on this static el. problem:

#Cons: There is a huge risk of static shock with this case!! I have this thing sitting on a wooden rack 1 foot off of the floor. The power button draws static charge. I went to turn it on the other day, before i touched the power button (my finger was close to the power button, but i hadn't actually touched it) an electric shock arched across the gap between my finger and the power switch and turned on my computer. the computer went directly into BIOS and i lost all of my bios settings. Other than that, as always, NEVER use the power supply that comes with a case, buy one that's reliable. And the front audio plugs, they have head phone jacks on the end instead of mobo connectors. You have to run them out of a pci slot and plug them into the back of the mobo. Thats just stupid. Some guy at Aspire actually signed off on that before it went into production. All of their cases are like that because they believe that front audio connectors aren't an industry standard yet.#

#
Cons: This case will release a static charge through the power switch, thus killing your motherboard if you have large build-up of static electricity on you (which is not actually that uncommon in "real" life in the winter time. I mean...cmon! Static build up near the switch??? Also the front headphone jack is a gimmick (you have to plug it into the back port either way, but I think possibility of motherboard destruction is a far greater threat#

# Cons: Truely a static-releasing beast. I don't think I should have to worry about energy balls killing my mobo DBZ style when i turn the damned thing on. I've gone through 3 mobos now, before I saw that last review saying that was the problem. The last time it happened I actually heard a pop, and it came on before I actually pushed the button. I touched it and it insti-gibbed. I'd skip over this one.#

# Cons: The acrylic front panel allows static electricity to build up around the power and reset buttons. A simple release can send a LETHAL CURRENT through the POWER SWITCH and POWER RESET cables straight to the motherboard.#

So maybe you should look for another case?

And it's always better to get a high quality case even if it cost you some more. You can have it for years. And the case is the foundation your whole rig will rest upon.

If you want a Aspire case with modding possibilitys, LEDs and stuff? Then look at the Alien - X cases.

But if you want high quality? Then check out Antec, Coolermaster, Thermaltake, Silverstone and Lian li. They are'nt much for LED's, windows and stuff. And you may have to buy a separate psu. But have good airflow and is sturdy.

I love my Antec P 180B!

But if you dont like, or think Antec, Thermaltake etc is too expensive?

A friend in Ireland had this case or a very similar one. And he seemed to like it.

But get another psu right away it stinks!

Or maybe this case?

NZXT is pretty good at making "gamers cases"

A little "Ferrari" like case that seems to be o.k.

oh ok wow i didnt know that.. thxs goranpaa those case are good, i will look into them and some others ty

You're welcome.

how about these case's:

APEVIA (ASPIRE) X-CRUISER-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Sunbeam AC9B-T Black Clear Acrylic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

if their not that good i am getting:

NZXT Apollo BLUE NP Blue SECC Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

I think you should get the NZXT. Not having anything to do with that I picked it before.

The Acrylic case looks nice. But you may end up with the same problem as with the Dreamer. Also, you will have a ton of LEDs shining right into your eyes. Not fun when gaming or watching a movie in the dark.

The Aspire comes with only 80mm fans. Loud and less good CFM.

Seal up this hole with some tape in the NZXT case. It will improve airflow. See picture.

You can also add this 120mm for the front to cool the HD(s)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16835185005

It's good to have a really silent fan next to you.
This have good CFM and is very quiet.

Posted by: Alchemist

oh ok thxs. and why tape it? my computer case has that too.

Posted by: goranpaa

My case too (But sealed now). But the more you seal all holes not in use, the better air pressure. What you want to accive is this airflow pattern. See picture. With that hole fore ex.It will be like to try to inflate a paper bag or ballon with a hole in it.

Have no idea why the case manufacturers still have those kind of ventilation holes in cases nowadays. Maybe it's the old thinking, that it will help the videocard getting some more fresh air? But that's wrong. Experiments have showed quite the opposite.

I lost 4C+ by sealing the holes.

Posted by: goranpaa

And if you seal off that hole. It will help the exhaust fans to draw hot air in a better way, from the videocard for ex. With that hole, the "dead zone" next to the vidoeocard will increase. Making the hot air stay longer inside the case. Also resulting in higher videocard temp.

hmmm...ya imma close the holes on my comp also what about my pci slot on my case. One is open so i can run the cable from my cpu cooler to the top of my comps so i can select the speed.

You can always seal that PCI slot with tape, as good as you can. Letting the cables slip in between

Posted by: shadysoldier

ya i think imma get that electical tape and cut a a slit into it and slide the cable through.

Posted by: goranpaa

Yeah. Or duct tape also works very well.

Posted by: shadysoldier

okay imma go get my mom to get some from walmart.
