Wireless Woes

I am in the market for a new wireless router to interact with my multiple desktops, laptops and 2 XBOXES's, it seems my D-524 has a very weak signal strength and I am looking for something powerful and robust enough to handle my constant online and XBOX Live gaming, not sure what my budget is yet but would like some suggestions on some good equipment. What about the new "n" technology? Or should I stick with "g"?

I have a small house and lots of walls, I am assuming that is causing my weak signal, perhaps I could just purchase a new router and set one up as an access point? I hope you all can help with my wireless woes. Thanks

I've heard about exceptional wireless strength with a linksys G router but I always liked dlink. I think perhaps you try changing the channel that the router operates on. Sometimes radio interference on a certain channel can make for some low quality wireless signal.
