PSP Games

Guys,

I just bought a PSP (White) value pack in the UK. I will be in NYC for Christmas and I'm wondering if there are any problems with buying PSP games in the US and playing them on a unit sold in the UK.

Like with DVDs: Region I (US); Region II (Europe) etc.

Just wondering if they applied a similar thing to PSP games. I'm hoping I can buy games anywhere and they'll work on my machine. They're just much cheaper in the US as you can imagine.

Thanks!

yes if you buy a game from North America for a European PSP, there will the playback issues. I recently went to London and when I asked if I could play a PSP game i buy there on my Canadian PSP, i was told no.

Unfortunately.

games are region based.

however movies (umd) are not.
UMD = Universal Media Disk

There is a region thing with UMD's
But I've only ever seen region 0 UMD's which are considered world wide.
