I bought a rare ps2 game called Disgaia on ebay from a gamestore known as gameliquidations. I got the item today. It came wrapped as a brand new game from a retail store would be. However unlike a "NEW" game that also has the sony seal on the top side of the case, this one didnt. The description online said "Factory sealed". plus the real value of it brand new sealed is around $50-80. I got this one for about $30. I am also thinking it moght not be an original copy even though it looks like it. How can you tell?

definitely don't open it yet, if you haven't already.
do you know anyone who has bought the game retail and could tell you?
re-shrinking a game is occasionally done, but not often.

too late. i already opened it. the disc was not in its snapping place of the case, but i looked at the reading side of disc and it looks brand new. like i said earlier, i bought the game for $20-30 less than its real value brand new. this is a rare valuable game. gamestop is selling their used ones for $60. i havent played it yet but i did shine it in the light and i could see the sony playstation logo through the disc as i can through my own ps2 games i bought from a retail store. Is that what tells the diff between original and fake?

You're probably good to go.
