need help connecting to printer

i have a printer connected to a computer in the house and its on a wireless system. so i want to connect my laptop to that computer so i can print from the laptop. bt i can do it. i keep getting an error message. here is what i did so far:

on the computer connected to the printer upstairs i went to start>control panel>double click printers and faxes>right click on the printer icon and select share this printer>entered a name to use to share the prnter.

on the lap top i go to start>control panel>double click printers and faxes>click on the add a printer icon>wizzard came up>selected browse for a printer>clicked on the shared printer name and got an error message.....what did i do wrong here??

Boh computers are running windows XP same home edition. HELP!!!!

Error message reads...Windows cannot connect to the printer. either the printer name was typed incorrectly or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.

hmm...did you try installing the printer drivers on the laptop yet? I know Windows should install the driver over the network most of the time, but to be sure install them on the laptop THEN try to connect.
