I-Pod Shuffle or Nano

I have been comparing prices on I-Pods to those if their competitors. I've decided to go with a genuine Apple gizmo, but I don't know anyone who has an I-Pod Shuffle. I was wondering if anyone has one and likes it or would suggest I go for an I-Pod Nano instead. Since I'm on disability the regular I-Pods are out of my price range.

I'm not a big shuffle fan myself. I like to be able to pick the music i want, instead of leaving it up to the random button. So my vote is the nano.

The shuffle is really cool though, it's so small. I don't have one, but I might get one.

If you're looking to hold a good share of music I would get a nano, and yes, the screen is a plus.

I have a nano and love it. The screeen is a big plus. However, unless I have audio books in it or want to listen to a specific album, I usually just stick the entire library on shuffle and mindlesly start working or doing homework.

I've played around with both. And I've read that if you hack the Nano and put Linux on it, you can watch videos on it. Tiny screen, yes, but hey, somethin' to have fun with.

Of course it all depends on what you want to do. The shuffle is freakin' tiny (and in my opinion easy to lose), but is crap if you like to choose your songs. The Nano is still pretty damn small too.

Overall, I'd say go with the Nano, since it can do everything the shuffle can and then some. The only thing you lose by going with the nano is the feature of ungodly tininess. haha.
