I would've expected at least one person to help me on my java script situation. This site is more dead than it was years ago when I first joined.

here is the solution to your java question:

oh, wait, you you post a thread yesterday and since no one answered it within your arbitrary time limit, you flip out like a child, insult us, then demand assistance?

Good luck with that.

Holy, crap shal

edit: it's been a while since I've seen that purple text

editting my post for the 4th time just to point out that I'm insecure and just have to get my post right

oh and also just about every post you see on here or anywhere I post on these days I edit like 4 times immediately after I post it cause I keep thinking of an elegant improvement after I hit "submit". I think laggu should make the forum (or atleast give just me the option) to require me to press submit about 5 times before it goes through while it keeps bringing me back to the "reply to thread" topic. (I even editted this paragraph twice already)

I was about to post something when shalome locked the thread and banned the guy. It's been reopened, but the moment has passed. Here is my original post anyway:

I miss the days when I could be a coffee gourmet. If you ever have to undergo chemotherapy expect you might end up with a bad stomach. I stick to drinking coffee about once a month at this point. Oh how I miss my hazelnut! No more Gevalia coffee clutch.

I do get Juke Joint Java ice cream at Tom Wahl's though...

dammit, looks like i missed out on all the fun, since the thread looks edited

Madman55,
O'er the light of naught:

Like a baby apple, sprouting the first time,
sour, unstasteful, but loved, like a lime
you came into our hearts like an unripe fruit,
you stayed with us, firm in the ground, like a root.

o'er the days, you slowly spread your wings,
telling us about basketball, java, and things,
we still writhe in horror, seeing your untimely demise,
when shalome struck deep, sending terror through our eyes

we wept and we wept, for hours on end,
with anguish and sadness, with no proper mend,

from your last visit here, from when I saw you arrive,
you'll be in my heart forever, Madman55.

The cool thing is that according to Title 17 (otherwise known as copyright law) that poem became legally copyrighted to its creator the moment he wrote it. Proving it if AltronHGX should wanna sue someone for copyright infringement might be a trifle more difficult if (more than likely) he choses not to register it with the Department of Patents & Copyrights.

Okay... maybe I ate too much Juke Joint Java this afternoon, even if it was a small sized portion. Or maybe I'm getting really really (really) bored and just needed to type something on here to keep this thread going. (Most likely the latter!)

I check this site every day and it has been lacking excitement. We need to tell newbees about this site so they'll asked all sorts of questions. Either that or we have to become financially able to be building new PCs all the time so we can ask each other questions!

Something weird just happened. I tried to high lite text in order to make it italics and click the little "I" and then clicked "quick reply" and it underlined the above underlined text, but failed to italicize it and showed the ending . You [I]know you're getting bored when things like that become exciting.

One possibility is there's something wrong with your digestive system - at least for the zero appetite - but it could be one of any number of things. As far as the headaches, do you wake up thirsty? Mine never go away, but they do lessen with fluid intake. If it's been going on for as long as you've said, maybe you should ask your doctor. I know most of us don't like going to the doc, but if it's been that long I'd suspect something is wrong.

Been there, done that, taken the Wellbutrin, Prozac, etc.

Posted by: pdnielsen

I'm 38. I don't think the Bish is older than THAT! Since I had a stroke just after my 34th birthday I know what it's like to use a walker. I had to use one for 9 weeks and then a cane for 5 weeks. I'm walking every day so I can keep from having to go back to using a cane. Having the use of only 1 hand is a pain - especially if it's your bad one. People who use canes generally use the one opposite the bad leg and my right leg is the bad one.

I don't know if you saw the blue after I dreaded it, but it was awesome. Couldn't get a job for the life of me though. So after an interview that was an incredible waste of time I went home and cut them off. Had my hair like it is in that picture ever since.

I'd better not be average when I hit 30. However, I am already balding (I'm only 19), and I see the occasional grey hair.

Posted by: pdnielsen

I stay clean shaven most of the time because otherwise my beard would be pre-maturely gray. I've been told that it's somewhat normal for men whose fathers didn't have a gray beard until they hit their 50s to expect chemotherapy to bring it on sooner. I'm letting my avatar have the grayish beard instead of me. My father rather resembles it except that the avatar has more hair on top of his head. My niece's explanation for my dad's mostly bald head was that "his hair fell down" to become his beard. She was 3 or 4 years old at the time. Now she just finished the last week of finals for her freshman year of college. Can someone tell me where the last 16 years went?

I do not recommend chemo as a weight loss method. It's somewhat like unintentional bolemia. After failure to keep food down for 51 days straight I put the weight back on once I began to hold food down again. 5' 10" and 138 pounds from 218 in less than 2 months is a huge drop - and most of it was muscle that I lost and not fat.

Eek. Reminds me of when I had mono. I dropped from 215 down to 170. In about a month.

Posted by: pdnielsen

Yike! I hope you keep careful tabs on how many carbs you take in. High carbohydrate diets have been shown as a link to lymphoma and Hodgkin's disease can be brought on by the same virus that causes mono. As a matter of fact, it's the only cancer that's known to have a direct relationship to a virus.

Posted by: justinious

Pd, cervical, anal, *****r, penile, head, and neck cancers are all linked to human papillomavirus.

edit: lol @ "v u l v a" being censored.

Great, now yer just scarin' the crap outta me. I don't watch what I take in at all. I actually eat maybe once a day or twice. During the summer here it'll probably change. But my infrequent eating is because I'm pretty much gone from 10-10 every day. Usually I have like a salad and a turkey sandwich. Sometimes some ramen. Occasionally seafood, spaghetti, cheeseburgers, etc.

Well, I'm not a man. But yeah, your metabolism does change in your 30s.

I have been working out this year and plan to keep it up -- my goal is to be in better shape at 30 than I was at 25. So far it's working.

The Dark Iron guild rerolled Horde on Antonidas the day that server opened. We're rocking out over there now as "Magic Camp." Some people still play their Alliance characters over there, but a lot of the people who didn't want to reroll Horde ran off and joined a PAA guild.

I tryed logging in to be surprised that i have all my privaleges back. I just have this to say to all of you: I am sorry for posting that offensive thread last year. I have learned to control myself whenever i get in that state of tense before a major project that requires computer language skills. I will never post something offensive like that ever again. Again, thank you for unbanning me. I will try answering posts to help people out instead of offending this website and the members of this community. Again. Thank You.
