I have this wireless usb adapter but it constantly drops the signal every 5 minutes. I have to remove and insert the usb adapter every time to pick up the signal. Any solutions? My access point is around 15 feet away in another room. The router works fine as I get perfect signal on a PSP from same room.

zonet driver software is buggy. See if you can just install the driver - not their software, and let windows handle your wireless networking

They're software might be causing this, but I've noticed sometimes if a USB device isn't actually doing anything, the computer will sometimes stop power from going to the port. I think I've only had this happen on pre-XP versions of Windows and on Ubuntu Linux. Although in Linux the problem was fairly easy to fix.
Like P0nix said, try installing JUST the driver and not the extra software, as it might be causing your operating system to not realize the card is actually being used (since Windows itself is not using the card).

Well if i install just the driver and not the utility then windows XP wireless thing will say no wireless networks found. Maybe Im doing it wrong. I have to use the utility or else I can't connect to the internet. Also, I made the device in Max Power Mode just in case what you said about XP stopping the power was true. The utility will always say i am connected but when I go to load google, it wont open. Then after a few seconds, I will be able to load the page. Should it be in ad hoc or infrastructure mode? Also can you tell me how to just install the drivers?
EDIT: ALso does changing the fragment treshold make a difference?
