Hi guys I set up a laptop for my younger brother on Windows XP

What I would like to know is, is there an easy way to make the laptop look like its 'Not working well' like a program I could install on it to make it slower artificially because he keeps telling me that all the work I put on his laptop was useless since he could have gotten it done by someone else... but everytime something happens with it since then he comes over to me and begs for me to fix it, last night he siad it again, so I know there are applications to slow down the CPU, but is there anything to like artificially make it crash, just to see if he'll really ask someone else to get it done

haha

thanks guys looking forward to suggestions!

that's too mean! You should just be happy knowing you helped your bro out. You could always just d/l some awful spyware onto there and let it bog the computer down...

rootkit.com is the hellspawn of cyber-satan

There is a little utility that you can create Windows pop-up messages to say whatever you want that I have used a couple of times to freak out some co-workers. Its called "Nap and Coffee" and you can download it here http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fi...escription.html

Its not precisely what you asked for, but might accomplish the same end result!

Have Prime95 run in the background, that ought to do it.

if you type porn into google and click everything on the first 2 pages I guarantee your computer will be slow as hell after that but as an added bonus it will be unusable forever

I like the Prime95 torture test in the background idea, lol, just put it into startup with the right switches
