any help is most welcome

should be an F6 or 7 or some key for recovery options when the laptop is starting. Might also be an option in "all programs" that allows you to burn off recovery cds.

Mine shows it as a seperate drive. Try "My computer" and see if it shows an additional drive other then "C".

You need to use the eRecovery software that should be on you laptop, possibly under Empowering Technology. If this is not available you need to visit the Acer website & see if you can download it.
You may also be able to make the recovery CD's by holding down ALT & F10 whilst booting. This works with other Acer models.
What was a company doing buying a laptop with Vista home basic on it? They should have baught a laptop with Vist Business, at least then they could have downgraded to Windows XP Pro legitimatly. I have found Vista to be a total pain. Any Vista machines that I have baught have been the business version, these have been downgraded to XP Pro, if they have caused problems.
Anyway, try the ALT / F10 option.

You should be able to "click on the drive" highlight it and select RUN. Just follow the directions from there. The lappy will do the rest.

When are you pressing the alt/F10 keys? & are you pressing them at the same time?

Posted by: b4dd0g

Yes at the same time is this the way to do it ?

I allso fond the Empowering Technology were in there do i go

Yes, pressing both together is right & normally work if pressed just after post.
In the empowering technology section, you need to be looking for eRecovery management. That should allow you create the recovery disk's.
